12, 28, 35, & 80 for the tav asks? :]
heyy thanks for the ask!! :] SIGRID TIME [ask game]
12. How does your Tav feel about Us? Did they free them, maim them or leave them behind?
Sigrid freed Us, mostly because she was in a daze and like… well, the brain sounded polite. When she encounters Us again in the Mindlfayer colony she’s like “THEY TRAPPED MY CHILD” and immediately takes them with her again <3
28. What does your Tav think of Auntie Ethel? What do they tell Mayrina?
When first meeting she was apprehensive, because like why is this random old lady in the grove so interested in her condition? Pretty much a “Thanks but no thanks for the concern” for her.
And then when she sees the shit go down between Ethel and Mayrina’s brothers she’s just kinda like “okay i’ll kill these guys i guess” <- which is basically only done because she’s like “Well Ethel’s a weird old lady but probably not a hag” and then almost immediately realises she’s wrong
Gaslights Mayrina into thinking Ethel killed her brothers, because well SHE’S not taking responsibility for that. In the end she does help Mayrina revive Connor and lets her go ham because Sig quite frankly didn’t care enough to keep him or kill him
35. Do they deliver Nere's head to the Myconids and save the slaves?
Sigrid definitely delivers his head, because OH she doesn’t like him. The second she enters the Grymforge and like sees the amount of Gnomes enslaved she’s like “Yeah okay cutting off his head sounds fair.” Also the Myconids and Barcus are her besties, OF COURSE she kills Nere
80. Does your Tav free the slaves from Steel Watch Foundry? Do they side with the Gondians or with Wulbren?
She frees the slaves, definitely. She can empathise with the Gondians a lot really, and at that point in the story she was definitely more concerned of the fact that she’d be killing so many people if she were to just. Go ham and destroy the foundry without second thought.
Sig also sides with Gondians at the end, Wulbren and her aren’t on good terms like. Ever. “Fuck Wulbren Bongle all my friends hate Wulbren Bongle” yknow

Quizz time! PS. I didn't make the quizz. I used a website :3 Which of my favourite specific character archetypes are you? Results for quiz Which of my favourite specific character archetypes are you? (uquiz.com) For Clarimonde: The Beauty.
Beloved, beautiful, naive, innocent—or at least, perceived this way. The one representing goodness, in all its purity, to others. Smarter than they let on. Clarimonde: Come again? Sigfrid: Bahahaha! Bullshit!
For Sigfrid: The Lionheart.
The loyal one, the stubborn one, the one who fights for others. The guarder, the watcher, the brave, foolish, valiant person who is not the same person by the end of the story. Sigrid: Heck yeah. Clarimonde: Hmm, you are indeed quite foolish. Sigfrid: Hey! Don't steal my thunder.
For Circe: Sister Winter.
A cold, bitter person, who was once naive but learned fast. Resilient, chilly, melancholy. A person waiting for spring. Circe: Me, cold? Absurd.

Wet Paint in the Wild: Cristine Brache Hosts a Late-Night Jell-O Wrestling Performance
The artist takes us through a week in her life.
Cristine Brache June 3, 2024
Welcome to Wet Paint in the Wild, the freewheeling—and free!—spinoff of Artnet News Pro’s beloved Wet Paint gossip column, where we give art-world insiders a disposable camera to chronicle their lives on the circuit. To read the latest Wet Paint column, click here (members only).
A couple of weeks ago, artist Cristine Brache hosted a live performance of her piece Goodnight Sweet Thing (created with fellow artist Sigrid Lauren) in Chinatown at 42n Studios, and it was the talk of the town. It was technically a theatrical adaption of her recent book of poetry as interpreted by female wrestlers duking it out in a pit of Jell-O.  For those of you who missed the performance, I asked the artist to chronicle the week surrounding the opening. Take it away, Cristine… —Annie Armstrong
Tumblr media
Every morning my day starts with this cutie—my Russian Blue cat named Cherry, and my husband, artist and writer Brad Phillips (not pictured).
Tumblr media
The very next thing I see after waking up is this painting Brad made me for my birthday a couple of years ago. I love it. It so playfully encapsulates our relationship which, by the way, reaches its 10-year mark this week. What a romantic Wet Paint in the Wild this has become!
Tumblr media
The week begins just as previous Wet Paint in the Wild contributor Whitney Mallett’s ends. Here is the style icon herself standing next to one of my paintings. I think this was my first outing after having had COVID for the first time ever. It was terrible. I was so worried I might miss rehearsals for the centerpiece of this photo essay—my and Sigrid Lauren’s performance art piece: Goodnight Sweet Thing (an adaptation of my new book of poems of the same name) produced by Metalabel and Olivia West Lloyd in partnership with anonymous gallery and Blade Study. But my infection was forgiving and resolved itself in a timely fashion.
Tumblr media
Sigrid at one of our rehearsals—I find her to be one of the most compelling performance artists around. I loved working with her. Naturally, she is an Aquarius—one of my favorite signs (I’m a Sagttarius sun, Leo rising, and Libra moon).
Tumblr media
I love the secret chandelier bar in Tribeca when I’m feeling maxed out because no one goes there. Sometimes a girl just needs to get a drink in solitude. Writer Gideon Jacobs loves the chandelier bar too. Look, he’s so cozy he’s taking a nap. This was right before dress rehearsals, two days till showtime (hence the drink). Eek!
Tumblr media
But—before dress rehearsals I had to make the Jello Wrestling Ring…
Tumblr media
…which required some troubleshooting.
Tumblr media
Dress rehearsals with the stars of the show: Betsey Brown, Emily Allan, and Joshua Weidenmiller. The entire project felt like high school for me (when I was a teen I used to direct my friends in video art works and this experience felt just as possessed, subconscious, and carefree).
Tumblr media
It’s finally showtime—Brooke Nicholas and Ian Glover (of Blade Study) doing god’s work selling my book at the show.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile backstage, our fashion director—artist and stylist Bunny Lampert (another icon) making up actor and writer-director Emily Allan’s face.
Tumblr media
Sound designer, musician, and composer Ryan Woodhall is ready on stage.
Tumblr media
The directors just as doors opened.
Tumblr media
I didn’t take any pictures during the show but it was a wild and special thing. I am so proud of everyone involved and so moved by their talents and vulnerability. Here are some more dress rehearsal photos to sate you.
Tumblr media
The star of the show, actor and writer-director Betsey Brown plays Nothing Girl, a melancholic underdog.
Tumblr media
Our prom queen and Jello wrestling champion, Mary Magdalene a.k.a. Emily with an unwelcome surprise.
Tumblr media
Prom Boy a.k.a. dancer and actor Joshua Weidenmiller moves effortlessly as he prepares to sing one of my poems nostalgically, like a tender 1950s bee-bop tune.
Tumblr media
More Jello wrestling except Nothing Girl and Mary Magdalene move and speak in poems.
Tumblr media
Between shows we had to reset the Jello ring. The fake Jello was so tenacious and hard to get rid of. Also, I’ve had this vintage slip in my closet since I was 17 years old and this was the first time I wore it.
Tumblr media
Our diligent and talented producer, writer-director Olivia West Lloyd quickly vacuuming fake Jello prior to the reception. I regret not getting a picture of our other (stellar) producers, Yancey Strickler and Gina Pham of Metalabel who made this all possible.
Tumblr media
Here we have the one-of-a-kind Joseph Ian Henrikson (owner of anonymous gallery—my gallery) with Tobi Maier, Chief Curator at Amant.
Tumblr media
Another angel caught on camera: artist and director of anonymous gallery, K.O. Nnamdie.
Tumblr media
I finally found some time to go to the gym. This is my usual view when I’m working on my upper body.
Tumblr media
Time to relax. Brad and I love stopping at CANDY GROCERY BEER for snacks on Essex prior to going to our favorite guilty pleasure movie theater: Regal Essex.
Tumblr media
Back to the chandelier bar! This time with Amant’s associate curator Patti (Patricia Margarita Hernandez), one of my oldest friends from Miami. I met her in front of Churchill’s Pub when I was twenty-two. She had punk-short hair and told me she was in a band called “Patti and the Clits.” Patti was the first person to ever buy an artwork from me.
Tumblr media
Later that night—a drag show (also in Tribeca) with Jed Moch (who I adore), founder and director of Amity. The drag queens looked so chic, like a perfect mix of 90s supermodels and Nicole Kidman’s Suzanne Stone in Gus van Sant’s To Die For (1995).
Tumblr media
Jed next to this obscene wheel of delicious cheese.
Tumblr media
Oh no my first day of acting class! I had to recite my first monologue, GOD I was SO nervous I wanted to BARF. I’m not trying to formally become an actor. Just preparing to direct my first feature length film—though I would definitely do a cute cameo for a friend 😉
Tumblr media
Ugh so much to do this week. Brad and I are also moving to a new studio in Chelsea. We are all packed up in front of our old Tribeca studio.
Tumblr media
And that’s a wrap… party for cast and crew—Emily Allan, me, Betsey Brown, Joshua Weidenmiller, Sigrid Lauren, Ryan Woodhall, Cole Durkee a.k.a. Destroyer of Worlds, Bunny Lampert, and Atinka Anderson—at Dim Sum Go Go.

Been in torment for months about not being able to give enough page time to my two favourite side characters (also my fav pair dynamic) so I’m rewriting the segment of story they appear in so they can join the protags for a chunky bit of plot :) Ultimately nothing changes but I’ve been feeling bad about keeping them away and this instantly opened my third eye for exploiting the circumstances to the fullest :3 If nothing else book 3 is Oscar and Sigrid propaganda and you must love them too :-)

This is gorgeous.
I adore the position of her hands-- she is essentially exposing her heart to God. She has "removed the veil" for the Lord to enter her inmost sanctuary, and for Her to also enter into such intimacy with Him; God's Presence shall now dwell in Her as His Tabernacle, and take on His own "veil" of humanity there (Hebrews 10:20). Long before the Crucifixion occurred in time, the Body of Christ-- the "veil" through which we enter God's Presence-- opened that sacred door to and through Mary, His Mother, from whom His very Body and Blood would be born. She is the "Portal of the Sky"; the first gateway from heaven to earth.
And her face... what total trust, what peace, what ecstasy, what love for God! This is the moment she says 'YES' to the divine Incarnation, the moment that changed human history forever. There is something utterly timeless in her expression; something eternal in that serene bliss. That, too, is a glimpse of Heaven.
Her left foot is uncovered. I think of Exodus 3:5 and Isaiah 52:7-- where she kneels is holy ground, she who is to there become the Bringer of the Good News. It may also be a play on words... she has "bared her soul/sole" before God. Lastly, if I may be so symbolic... In Hebraic thought, the right represents the spiritual and the left represents the physical. In my thoughts here, for her left foot to be uncovered-- even unveiled-- speaks of humility and humanity, of what is spiritual becoming physical; of God Himself gaining feet so as to walk with us, to become so shockingly human. God Himself will trod the earth, will be the Good News, will take on our dust without becoming it-- will turn that dust to gold. And Mary's foot is there, pure and naked, crushing the serpent's head forever.
I have a lot of feelings about this artwork; it truly touches my heart. God bless the sculptor; may her soul rest in peace.
Mary, Mother of Christ, Handmaiden of God, pray for us your children, those your Son was born to save. We love you.

What’s your favourite music genre and artist :)
Hi, I really love a great various deal of music.
I love classical music specially composed by Ludovico Enaudi (I went to a concert of him with my sister) I always listen to his music when writing for Bridgerton it adds so much fantasy of duels, horse riding, intense dancing <3 I also love songs from the 70's, 80' and 90's. my most beloved song is Take on me from Aha and Rock me Amadeus from Falco. I also like artists like Aurora, Melanie Martinez, Au/ra, Sigrid, Tate Mcrae, Lana del rey, Maddison Beer, Bastille, Halsey. I like a lot of songs, but not always the entire reportoire of an artist but those mentioned I almost love all their songs

This year -- put a Book on EVERY Bed
This year: put a Book on EVERY Bed
By “Ask Amy” advice columnist Amy Dickinson
10 December, 2020
Tumblr media
Dear Readers: Every year at Christmastime, I delight in promoting a Book on Every Bed. I do so in memory of my mother, Jane, who raised her children to understand that if you have a book, you are never alone.
The idea originally came from historian David McCollough, who recounted the Christmas mornings of his youth, when the very first thing he woke up to was a wrapped book at the base of his bed, left there by Santa.
The most important part is what happens next: Family members reading together.
That’s it! That’s the whole idea!
Over the last ten years, working with my local literacy partner Children’s Reading Connection (childrensreadingconnection.org), this campaign has grown to include schools, libraries and bookstores, who have donated scores of books to families that might not have access to them. The goal – and our dream – is that families will experience the intimate and personal connection of diving into and sharing stories, the way my mother and I did throughout her life.
Over the years, important literacy advocates, such as the Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden and LeVar Burton, and bestselling children’s authors Brad Meltzer and Peter Reynolds, have endorsed and helped to spread the good word.
This year is different. So many of us are alone, hurting, and separated from family and familiar holiday routines.
All of us – not just children – need a good book on our beds.
I have broadened the scope to include specific recommendations for books spanning all ages. I’ve reached out to some of my favorite writers, literacy advocates, and independent booksellers across the country for their special picks.
Whether you purchase a book or share an old favorite, I hope you will be inspired to put A Book on Every Bed this year. It is not necessary to make a Christmas deadline – this idea is one to sustain people throughout what might shape up to be a very long winter.
Following are recommendations for all age groups.
Baby and Toddlers: From Brigid Hubberman, Children’s Reading Connection, Ithaca, NY (childrensreadingconnection.org):
Tumblr media
“Words are the language of love for babies.  The best books for infants should be about the world they know. Parents should choose books to surround babies with an abundance of loving and delightful words.”
Baby Cakes, by Karma Wilson and Sam Williams
Haiku Baby, by Betsy E. Snyder
Shine Baby Shine, by Leslie Staub and Lori Nichols
Ages 3-5: From Lisa Swaze, Buffalo Street Books, Ithaca, NY (Buffalostreetbooks.com)
“If You Come to Earth,” by Sophie Blackall is one of my favorite picture books of 2020. This book is beautiful both visually and lyrically, and it will feel like a warm hug to any child or family who receives it.
“You Matter,” by Christian Robinson is a bright and elegant book that takes children on a journey around the world to make it clear that everyone matters, and perhaps more importantly, reassure them that they matter, no matter what they look like or where they are from.
Tumblr media
Early Readers: From Sandra Dear, owner of The Little Boho Bookshop, in Bayonne, NJ (thelittlebohobookshop.com)
“The Suitcase,” by Chris Naylor-Ballesteros: This beautiful story about immigration, is full of heart and humanity as it teaches our littlest ones about hope, tolerance and kindness.
“Home in the Woods,” by Eliza Wheeler: This stunningly beautiful picture book has fast become a customer favorite. A story about starting over, of overcoming! A story of family, love and joy of being and growing together.
Tumblr media
Middle Grade Readers: From Becky Anderson, co-owner of Anderson’s Bookshop, in Naperville, Illinois (andersonsbookshops.com):
“Ways to Make Sunshine,” by Renee Watson: Watson writes her own version of Ramona Quimby, one starring a Black girl and her family, in this start to a charming new middle grade series about spirit, kindness, and sunshine.  Ryan, a fourth grader, finds the positive in difficult situations and when trouble strikes. She is that character to love and bring in the sunshine!  Grades 3-6
Skunk and Badger by Amy Timberlake, illustrated by Jon Klassen: Winnie-the-Pooh and Frog and Toad meet in a fresh take on a classic odd-couple friendship.  Klassen’s illustrations add much to a story of an unlikely friendship that proves that opposites can see the good in one another. The first in a series.  Grades 3-7
“The Silver Arrow,” by Lev Grossman: Kate’s humdrum life is transformed when her eccentric Uncle Herbert brings her a colossal locomotive train, the Silver Arrow, as her eleventh birthday gift, leading her and her younger brother on a mysterious journey.  The train will remind readers of the Hogwart’s Express. A story that is environmentally aware and calls readers to action. Perfect for fans of Roald Dahl and The Chronicles of Narnia.  Grades 3-7
Tumblr media
YA Readers: Danielle Kreger, Blue Bunny Books, Dedham, MA (bluebunnybooks.com):  "One of Us is Lying" by Karen M McManus: An edge of your seat mystery that takes place in Bayview High school during detention. Simon, a so-called "outcast," never makes it out of detention alive. What follows is a tale of twists and turns that has the reader questioning the reliability of the characters, and the secrets they keep.
"Burn" by Patrick Ness: A fast-paced young adult fantasy that begins with fifteen-year-old Sarah, who meets Kazimir – a dragon who has been hired to help on her family's farm. Still reeling from the death of her mother, Sarah finds herself feeling an intense and unusual connection with Kazimir. As the story unfolds secrets, dangers and Kazimir's true purpose are revealed.
"The New Kid" by Jerry Craft: A spot-on graphic novel about navigating a new school, new friends and identity. Jordan Banks is in seventh grade when he is sent to a rigorous private school and grapples with staying true to himself- his love for creating cartoons, how to maintain his old friends and how he fits in in a less than diverse new school. A totally lovable and relatable character!
Tumblr media
Adult Non-fiction: From Alex George, the author, most recently, of The Paris Hours, founder and director of the Unbound Book Festival, and the owner of Skylark Bookshop, in Columbia, MO (skylarkbookshop.com)
“Wintering,” by Katherine May: This is a deeply personal, quietly beautiful book, written with grace and immense thoughtfulness. We all go through difficult times; by mulling over her responses to her own misfortunes, the author offers insight as to how we might think differently about low points in our lives. Instructive, inspiring, and ultimately profoundly hopeful.
Tumblr media
“The Book of Delights,” by Ross Gay: This utterly charming book of micro-essays by Ross Gay, a beloved and renowned poet, is a perfect gift for – well, just about anyone. Gay set himself the challenge of finding one thing that delighted him each day for a year, and then writing about it. The result is a quirky, brilliant book that you can dip in and out of, always finding something to make you smile, and think. A guaranteed lifter of spirits.
“Intimations: Six Essays,” by Zadie Smith: I’ve always loved Zadie Smith’s nonfiction work, and this small but powerful book shows her talents at their finest. Written during the pandemic, these six pieces are sharp, and funny, and thought-provoking. Smith’s deeply personal reflections on this strangest of years is essential reading. If ever there was a book for these strange times, it’s this one.
Tumblr media
Adult Fiction: Mark LaFramboise, Senior Book Buyer at Politics and Prose in Washington, DC (politics-prose.com)
“The Butterfly Lampshade,” by Aimee Bender: This is a beautiful story of mental illness, the bonds of sisterhood, and the liveliness of a child's imagination.  Francie is 8 years old when the book begins, the daughter of a single mom.  This is the story of her odyssey after her mother is committed to a mental hospital, and she is sent to be raised by an aunt and uncle.
“Luster,” by Raven Leilani: Edie, the young protagonist in Luster, Raven Leilani's debut novel, is daring, sexy, hilarious, super smart, and drop dead beautiful.  Her affair with a married man takes a turn for the strange when she meets and befriends the man's wife and daughter.  Edie is whip smart because Raven Leilani is whip smart and her voice propels this beguiling novel.
“What Are You Going Through,” by Sigrid Nunez: Sigrid Nunez writes so beautifully that plot feels irrelevant.  The writer's confidence and authority are apparent from the first page.  Ultimately, it's the story of a woman who is asked by an old college acquaintance to be with her when she takes her life, after a cancer diagnosis.  But, like her previous book The Friend (about a woman who inherits a large Great Dane), it doesn't matter what story she tells because her words bristle with life.
Tumblr media
Elders: Gayle Shanks, Changing Hands Bookstore, in Tempe and Phoenix, AZ
(changinghands.com)
“Apeirogon,” by Colum McCann: Two fathers, one Palestinian and one Israeli have both lost their young daughters to violence but have decided that reconciliation, not revenge, is what they needed to seek. In the process, they became best friends. McCann describes the insanity and senseless violence bred in the Middle East, the Occupation under which the Palestinians are forced to live, but also the beauty of the country, the migration of birds, the many ways humans overcome adversity and find solace in the natural world and each other. In a series of 1001 fragments, McCann walks us through his imaginary polygon, the Apeirogon of the title, containing an infinite number of sides, an infinite number of gorgeous sentences, and ultimately an infinite number of ways to view the human condition.
“All the Way to the Tigers,” by Mary Morris: Travel writer Mary Morris’ book, written in small chapters, was in some ways similar to reading Colum McCann's, Aperagon, also written in small bits (in his case 1001, in Mary's -- 112 chapters). Morris travels to India in search of the elusive Bengal tiger, but in so many ways she is searching for herself and her place in the world as she recovers from a serious ankle injury that leaves her debilitated but determined.
In her short vignettes, she quotes Rilke, Wendell Berry, other writers she admires and reminds us how important it is to listen intently to others as in active listening we are rewarded with deeper understanding.
Tumblr media
“The Chair Rocks,” by Ashton Applewhite: From childhood on, we’re barraged by messages that it’s sad to be old. That wrinkles are embarrassing, and old people useless. Author and activist Ashton Applewhite believed them too—until she realized where this prejudice comes from and the damage it does. Lively, funny, and deeply researched, This Chair Rocks traces Applewhite’s journey from apprehensive boomer to pro-aging radical, and in the process debunks myth after myth about late life. The book explains the roots of ageism—in history and in our own age denial. Whether you’re older or hoping to get there, this book will shake you by the shoulders, cheer you up, make you mad, and change the way you see the rest of your life. Age pride!

Chapter 9 — On the Doorstep of War
Tumblr media
and yet, the sun rises
Part 1 of the Nychthemeron series
13 Chapters | ? Words | Rated M
“Let it be said now, lest not at all: if there is ever anything to be sure of regarding Sigrid of Laketown, it’s that she will always protect what remains of her family as if her life depends on it.”
When dwarves come up through her toilet and dragon fire burns the only home she's ever known, that promise to herself becomes all too real. She has to figure out more on her own than she really has before, but the sun rises come victory or bloodshed, and she has to keep moving no matter the outcome.

I just finished zrs6!!!!! so here are some thots™ (HUGE s6 spoilers below)
Overall, I LOVED season 6. Moonchild is probably my favorite character, so the whole subplot with her (ESPECIALLY HER HEEL FACE TURN LIKE YES!!! THAT IS MY BRAIN GHOST!!!) was SO GOOD!!
and i’m always a sucker for angst, five angst particularly, and this season DELIVERED.
The first storyline (rescuing jamie and seeing how the war has changed london and the uk) was amazing, JANINE OH MY GOD MY LOVE JANINE SHINED THIS SEASON, i’m SUPER intrigued by sam’s sister being ALIVE (what’s her NAME??? do they ever say???), Amelia. Just all of Amelia always.
The only part i didn’t really care for was the finale: it felt a little anticlimactic, and i feel like the season might have ended more strongly if it had ended with the rescue of the women and babies from the factory + the broadcasting of sigrid’s message and everyone turning against her. like the whole island + nuke business kind of felt like a cheesy james bond movie AND THEN WE DIDN’T EVEN GET TO REALLY KILL HER?? Like yes it was nice that she met her end from her beloved “wakened land” but it was a bit of a let down. like she’s been the big bad for 3 seasons? and all we get is sam narrating like “now her boat is covered in lava. now she is covered in lava” :/ also i felt bad for not feeling sadder about veronica’s “sacrifice” bc it really was NOT necessary like unless i misunderstood she totally could have just kept controlling ANNIE with the neural net? and the glass protocol is concerning but after four or so interactions all it’s done is laugh creepily at five and turn some lights off.
this season would have been like 5 episodes shorter if moonchild had decided to be a pacifist like five minutes later tbh (five’s like: you may be a pacifist but i’m sure as hell not *cocks gun*)
i’m excited for the stinger of the v types bringing ZOMBIES back to LIFE??? I'm so excited for zombies to be like an actual threat again (also has anyone seen baby sara bc i love her and want her to show up again)
SEASON 7 HERE I COME

hey tell me.... abt ur beloved dnd characters............
You’re….asking me to open up a whole can of worms because once I start talking I CANNOT stop —-  INHALES AND EXHALES , HERE WE GO !  also thank you so much for asking it..makes me feel warm and happy
Tumblr media
Lorella ! My oath of the ancients paladin ;  she’s  5′8 , she wears deep silver armor & has chest-length black wavy hair  & docile blue eyes. A delicate face and slim lips , a lean figure albeit having some muscle due to the lance / shield she carries / fights with .  She was created for Curse of  Strahd  - her childhood was limited , she grew up with farmers as parents although it was more harsh labor than genuine care  / love  from them .  As a child she didnt have anyone to rely on or anyone there for her , always losing fights , being bullied by the others  she vowed from that point on she didn’t want to be a farmer or someone that is pushed around but wanted to aid those that needed it -  those like herself ,  were hoping someone came to their aid . Traveling a lot , she didn’t have the chance to make friends  &  typically stood out , coming through the mists she landed in Barovia with a half-ling sorcerer named Sigrid  & a mysterious warlock named Roric.     It unfortunately ended with her fleeing as the warlock stabbed them both in the back , killing her friends and even her purpose  however she waits , broken , stronger &   ready for a final showdown against him .
Tumblr media
Meet Arkillia ! A fallen assimar death domain cleric  -   Once a regular non-fallen assimar with long pale blonde hair , beautiful gold irises  &  a shining personality , gradually got tricked /  lured into a false gods trapped - only to find out at the end of it all , all that she had done was for not - that this false god ( an evil god ) fooled her for fun as this god does with  MANY assimar .   Arkillia couldnt accept that  & refused  going on her own adventure of redemption - she was known for her unintentional seriousness & strength , as well as the motherly care she occasionally distributed to the group .  She’s 6′1 , now sporting long crescent-moon white hair ,  glazed / foggy irises & pitch black armor . Sylas T’sarren , a szarkai ( albino dark elf  / drow ) .  I have a RP blog for him here @szarkais .  He’s 6′3 , clad in dark leathers and a deep navy cowl - he has stringy ivory hair viking styled braids and always in a high ponytail with his bangs hanging loose. his right ear has several piercings and a single dangly black earring .  In drow society men are treated worse than women and women basically rule the men , being an albino hes seen as special and was used as a spy  for the ‘ upworld ‘  ( regular planes , drow live under ground )  he passed as a regular elf and can easily blend in with others and so they used him for that advantage all while keeping him separate from their society . The  useless killings , maliciousness always disturbed him and the chance he could run , he took it and fled his partner . ( which is now out to kill him . )  he wants to help others , honing his magical abilities as a arcane trickster  &  helping his own group and hoping to lead an attack on drow society &  end their maliciousness .
I also have two KENKUS , both black fluffy birds - one is called HENLO and hes a bard - he likes shiny things . the other is a wizard name KABOOM and can be  unintentionally stingy & blood thirsty .

My Gold of All Gold
~ 𝓢𝓴𝔂 𝓯𝓾𝓵𝓵 𝓸𝓯 𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓻𝓼 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓱𝓮 𝔀𝓪𝓼 𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓪𝓽 𝓱𝓮𝓻 ~
Part 2 || Part 3
Jovially, royals and guests from across Arda, had gathered into the Great Dining Hall. They had all been spread out through the entire hall; many dwarves drank their mead while guffawing at silly tales and stories.
Beside them, their Ones, gossiped, also laughing merrily. Despite for the fact of being hardworking, dwarves loved to gather to tell stories after a drink or two and roar in laughter, even if it were for no special occasion. But this evening it was different. This evening there were two occasions why everyone was so content.
The first event was that Erebor had been finally reclaimed and restored to its glorious peace. Thorin was crowned King Under The Mountain, right after the defeat of Azog the Defiler and the rest of the Company had a place to call home.
The second reason as to why there was such a grand celebration was because Fíli was married to his beloved wife, Sigrid, daughter of Bard. The guests that had arrived, had also brought with them lavish and magnificent gifts from their lands for the happy couple. Along with these gifts, they had also brought their cheerfulness.
Of course, everyone was happy that day. It was a celebration, hence the name of it. But you were not...or at least, you forced yourself to be. How selfish that must sound, right?
However, you had a truly painful reason not to be, content that is. And it was quite difficult to think of it, without it bringing tears to your eyes. It had to do with the dwarven prince. The one who was married.
As you thought of him, your eyes wandered over to the dais where the royal family and their friends were dining. Fíli had sat beside Thorin’s right and holding his big calloused hand, was Sigrid. She was pretty and in her white wedding dress, she looked even prettier. Her rich, dark hair had been curled up and a beautiful braid was very much evident, as it had been purposefully tucked behind her ear. Her skin seemed as pure as the first thick blanket of snow while her emerald eyes gleamed with joy.
You watch the pair of them as Fíli leans over to whisper something in her ear which earns a soft laughter from Sigrid, rendering Fíli’s features to be graced with a handsome smile. Even her laugh was lovely. You thought to yourself before you stared down at your plate, sighing sadly.
“It is an insult to have to sit below a human.” A dwarrowdam hissed behind you. Slightly, you turn your head to see her speaking with her friend as they, both, cast their eyes to Sigrid like you had done a few moments ago.
“We cannot complain, Freida.” The other replied bitterly. “She is married to the prince, in time, she’ll become the Queen.”
‘She’ll become the Queen...’ You repeated those words in your mind, like a mantra as if you wanted to continuously torture yourself. To torture yourself for having so foolishly fallen in love with the dwarf prince since the beginning of the journey.
You had tried to keep your distance from Fíli during the journey so that you would all focus on what was more important than your measly love interest. Yes, you talked and sparred together many times but you were keeping your feelings hidden from him. You had decided to let him know of what you felt for him after the reclaim of Erebor, but it seemed you were too late.
Fíli, your sweet, darling dwarf, had fallen in love. And it was not with you.
You were truly happy for him but in your mind, you continuously cursed the day when you lay in tears on your aunt’s lap and she reassured you, “You will have love, sweetheart. He will come, your prince will come. You simply must be willing to open your heart and let him in. Let him love you.”
Well, apparently, you had opened your heart, your feelings, and your emotions and you regretted more than ever. Because like your previous aching heartbreaks, the dwarf prince was never going to love you. Looking over at the royal table, you decided upon something that you would most definitely regret later on. But it was too late as you had reluctantly begun to walk over to the royal table.
The Company turned their attention to you as you ascended the steps, slowly. You folded your trembling hands tightly together and with a shaky voice - trying not to cry - you whisper, “Kili, may I please speak with you?”
The dark-haired dwarf’s orbs bore into your own as he snaps out of his daze. “Sure, sure, of course. Let’s head out to the hallways where it would be more quiet and less overwhelming.”
You nod as you wait for him to come around the table and join you out at the hallways. As you wait, uneasily you decide to cast your eyes one last time to Fíli, who surprisingly you caught to have been looking at you with an expression you could not pinpoint. His blue eyes resembled the colours of the ocean, shimmering and crashing beneath the sunset. Looking into his eyes was not only hypnotizing but it seemed as if though you were staring at a fragile piece of turquoise glass, which laid in the sand, glistening in the bright sunlight.
You offer him a final smile and turn to Kili, who lightly grabbed your elbow and led you out of the Great Dining Hall. At the entrance, you stopped and his eyes were laced with concern and confusion. You could not take it anymore so, you let the tears cloud your vision as they quickly trickled down your cheeks. From one then, it continued like an endless waterfall.
Alarmed, Kili widened his eyes and took a hold of your hands, “What’s happened, (Y/N)? Why are you crying? Should I be getting my bow and arrows?”
You laugh through your tears as Kili lightens the tension and mood. The young dwarf smiles and brings his thumbs, wiping your tears away. “No, Kili. I don’t think this time would be a wise choice.”
“Then, perhaps not,” he agrees. “But tell me what is bothering you?”
You sigh and momentarily shut your eyes before finding the courage to tell him. “I am going to leave Erebor. After all, this marks the end of my adventure.”
“What?” Kili says as his eyebrows instantly knit in confusion. “Why? Please, do not do this (Y/N) or at least rethink it. Listen to me, if this is about the time uncle said those terrible things to you, you must know that he was - ”
“No, Kili, this has nothing to do with Thorin.” You reply, swallowing uneasily. There was an uncomfortable few minutes of silence and when you lower your head, Kili gasps, comprehending the sudden meaning of your answer. “(Y/N),” He whispers but you shake your head, not wanting him to say anything about it.
“Please, do not make this any more harder than it already is.” You plead as you reach from under your sleeve, producing a stone with a dwarvish engraving that said kidhuzel, which meant ‘gold of all gold’. That was the first and only word that you learned in Khuzdul. It was a word that Fíli had taught you and he made you promise to remember it while thinking of him.
“Please, return this to your brother. Not today. I don’t want him to think of this on his happy day. Maybe when you deem it to be right.” You say, placing the stone on his hand as Kili ran his index finger over it. “Gold of all gold.” He read and you squeeze your eyes shut, forcefully pushing your tears back.
“Wouldn’t he want you to keep this?”
“Yes, he would.” You reply, breathlessly. “But every time I look at it, it makes me tear up.” He nods understanding and looks back to you. “Kili, tell him I will forever remember and keep the promise. Tell him I loved him even if he might not have loved me in return.”
Fresh tears began to sting your face and the sadness you felt seemed to float  through the atmosphere. “Let him know that I thank him. For making me believe in love...again. Even if he did not feel it, it was quite real for me.”
Kili nodded once more and reached to embrace you. You wrap your arms around him and rest your head upon his shoulder. For a while, you remained like that, in a comforting silence as he soothes you by rubbing circles on your back. You sniffle and let him go. “And I thank you for all those silly stories and pranks that seemed to aid me from my worries and overthinking. You are a good friend, Kili.”
“Nonsense, you do not need to thank me, lass. I had known from the start, you’d helplessly fall for my charming personality.” He replies, winking mischievously as he did so, rendering you to laugh wholeheartedly.
“Well, I will miss you, my charming dwarf.” You say, placing your hand on his shoulder.
“As I, you, my little Thumbelina.” He replies, using the nickname from the stories you had told the Company and implying that you were short for a human. Sighing, you turn to leave from the Southern Gates, not believing this was truly how it was to end. You had dreamed of it to be much more differently...and happier.
“Oh and Kili,” You call to him before he’d enter the Great Dining Hall. He turns and regards you with a curious expression. “After tea with Bilbo, you are welcome to come to my house for dinner.”
He smiles widely and bows, “I’d be honoured, lass. And so would the Company.”
You watch him till he retreats back to the noisy hall and you walk away slowly, each footstep resonating in your head as you thought of the reoccurring memories of the journey you had taken apart in. Your tears, once again, clouded your vision and you let your sadness engulf you while you headed out to the Gates.
